Located in the Darling Harbour suburb of the southern hemisphere’s premier city (okay, some just call it the L.A. of the South Pacific) this hotel is an old heritage building converted into a snazzy boutique hotel. Just a few minutes away are the Sydney Aquarium, Sydney Maritime Museum, the Star Casino and many excellent restaurants. 1888 Darling Harbour is also close to Glebe, the current site of the Sydney Convention Centre. A short walk to the tram station and Town Hall train station.
Located in the Woolloomooloo suburb of Sydney, this hotel is close enough to the city to feel connected, yet far away enough to be a relaxing destination. Highlights of the area include a short walk to Hyde Park and the city’s hip nightlife districts of Oxford Street and Kings Cross. Very high-quality restaurants on the wharf itself include a variety of cuisines, but if you’re after something alternative, then you have to hit up Harry’s Café De Wheels, just outside the hotel. Excellent pubs are also only a two minute walk away. Spoiled for choice? Damn right you are!
